MOUSE CLINIC
First things first! If you've never used a computer, take this class first.
The Mouse Clinic workshop is for patrons who have no experience with a computer. The topics that will
be covered in this workshop are You will use the mouse to perform its 4 basic functions: Pointing,
Clicking (double-clicking, triple-clicking), Dragging, and Right-clicking. The exercises will help you
become familiar with computer terminology, computer environment and the mouse. This is strictly a
Beginner's workshop so if you are already familiar with these topics, you should not sign up for this
workshop.

PC BASICS
Figure out Windows and move through Windows with ease.
The Computer Basics workshop is for patrons who have no experience with a computer. The topics that
will be covered in this workshop are computer components, computer environment and
computer concepts. The exercises will help you become familiar with computer environment and
computer concepts. This is strictly a Beginner's workshop so if you are already familiar with these

Internet. In this workshop, you will learn how search engines work. You will learn to search faster

Explorer to setup a free email account and start emailing immediately. You will also learn how to send

KEYBOARDING
You will become familiar with the keyboard and learn how to navigate the computer with just the
keyboard.
This class is for those who do not know the placement of the keys on a keyboard and would like to
know the different function of the keys. You will also learn the highly secretive keyboard shortcuts
that allow you to navigate windows without a mouse. NOTICE: Use of the mouse is prohibited in
this class.

This course will provide students with the basics of using MS Publisher 2000. The features of

art and pictures, and format the publication. You will also learn how to preview and print a
publication, combine text with pictures to create a range of publications. There is ample
