Do you have a public fax?
Yes. Our fax only accepts credit and debit cards. There are other locations in East Orange that do provide fax services with cash payment.
Do you have a color copier?
No.
Do you have wifi printing?
Yes. Click to access our wifi printing option.
Is there a public scanner?
There are scanners available on the first floor at the PC Center.
Can I bring my students to the library? Can a librarian come to my school or classroom?

Do you proctor exams? Are there any fees?
Yes, we do. The cost is $10 per exam for East Orange residents with an East Orange library card, $20 per exam for non-residents and East Orange residents with no library card. Payment to the East Orange Public Library is due when the exam is taken. Please call the Info Desk at 973-266-7049 for more information or to schedule an appointment.
Do you have typewriters for public use?
Yes, the Main Branch has one typewriter available on the second floor near the CIT Lab for public use. You can bring your own paper or purchase sheets from the Info Desk for $0.10 per page.
Do you edit research papers?
No, we do not. Nor do we type documents.
Can I use my laptop at the library, and how do I connect to the web?
Yes, you can use your laptop anywhere in the building. EOPL is a wifi hotspot. Please be aware of our Wifi Policy. Staff can only offer general help on wifi and are not permitted to assist you in troubleshooting issues with your laptop.
Do you offer computers with educational software?
Yes. All the computers in the CIT lab have Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing.
Can I use a computer to access the internet in the library? What if I don’t have a library card?
Of course! All you need is your library card to use our PCs. If you don’t have a library card, buy a visitor’s pass for $1.00.
How much do you charge for photocopies? PC printing?
Photocopies are $0.15 per page. PC printing is $0.10 per page in black and white and $0.40 per page in color.
What software do you have available for the public?
All the library PCs have Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Publisher) and Adobe Acrobat Reader.
How do I save my information once I have typed it out? Do you sell flash drives?
You may not save information on our PCs. You can save your information to a flash drive or try using a web-based word processor like Google Docs. We currently sell flash drives at the Info Desk. Prices vary.
Where is your Lost and Found?
Our Lost and Found is located at the Circulation Desk in the lobby. Children’s Lost and Found is located in the Children’s Department. Items are only held for 7 days.
How do I get a job in the library?
Please check the city website for job openings or download a job application here. You may submit a resume, with a completed application form, at the Info Desk.
Do you accept book donations?
We are not accepting any books at this time.
Where and when to drop off:
1-10 items – leave at the Circulation Desk anytime the library is open.
11+ items – deliver to the rear library entrance, Mon-Fri, 9 am – 5 pm, and ring the doorbell.
